2020 Event Schedule
June 26-28, 2020
Mountain Meadow Recreation Complex
The 3rd Annual White Mountains Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to Pinetop-Lakeside in 2020 with 16 Balloons. This event will be free to the public. This festival is located in the heart of Arizona’s White Mountains, at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The area is part of the largest continuous Ponderosa Pine Forest in the world.
The festival has been restructured due to COVID-19. We will no longer have the live music and vendor portion. We will launch balloons every morning* for viewing and we will have a drive-thru balloon glow Saturday evening.* Spectators are encouraged to view the balloons from locations in the projected flight path, following social distancing guidelines. For those coming to the park, please note that masks will be required for spectators who want to access the launch field. This is for the protection of our pilots, crew members, and passengers. Spectators without masks may still come to view the launch but will be restricted to one of the fenced baseball fields.
